If I am going to review a product on my blog, I like to be sure that it works well.  That is why I have been testing Skin MD Natural's Face, Hand, & Body Shielding Lotion for eight weeks now (yup, two whole months).

I have notoriously dry skin, especially on my hands and during the winter, on my face as well.  My hands get so dry that cracks actually form all over them - it is quite terrible.  This problem is only perpetuated by the fact that I polish my nails so often - using that polish remover strips all the natural oils from my fingers, cuticles, and nails.

The lotion is extremely lightweight and absorbs quickly - which is a huge plus.  The main reason I don't wear lotion very often is because I end up walking around like a zombie - hands stuck out in front of me - because I feel like I can't touch anything.  Because Skin MD absorbs instantly, I can get back to my life right after applying it.  That means I can keep typing on my keyboard without making the keys greasy, I can straighten my hair without worrying about weighting it down (a huge plus!), and I can get dressed without fear of leaving lotion marks on my clothing (yes, this has happened to me before with other lotions).

Skin MD is also an excellent moisturizer.  The product is described as "far more effective than conventional moisturizers" and I must agree.  It soaks into skin and really does moisturize well.  Like I said, I have been using this for nearly two months now and I have noticed a huge difference in the texture and suppleness of my skin.  Skin MD "promptly absorbs, transforming the outer layer of skin into a hydrating invisible shield" allowing "regeneration [to be] fully realized with a few days."   I have been very impressed with how well Skin MD moisturized my extremely dry skin over these last 8 weeks.  Plus, even using it twice daily, I have not finished one 4 oz bottle.  Also, it has no smell (I can't stand scented lotions), so I've been very happy about that.  I can pull it out and put it on while I'm teaching or out to eat and I'm not stuck sitting in a cloud of fragrance because there is no smell whatsoever.  I also tried it on my face and it worked great.  No breakouts and excellent moisturizing.
